As you say he has a wife and children and a steady job to support them. If he rose up and spoke against LKY and PAP, he would have lost his job, thrown into prison and his wife and children would be punished as well. X is also a security officer not a high-flying lawyer as yourself. What do you expect a humble Indian security officer to do in elitist Chinese dominated Singapore? No one would take him seriously. The ones who have the ppower to fight LKY are those who have had higher education and the financial means to do it. I agree Singaporeans are yes men but in X's case I can understand that it is a case of survival esp when he has a family and dependants to think about. He is also in his 60s so he probably just wants to retire peacefully without the PAP hounding him down.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
