The smart ones ...Singaporeans. Are there any left?<br /><br />The smart ones have emigrated for a better life for their children.<br /><br />The ones that remain include LKY's indentured scholars, who can't leave because they are bonded to him for 7+ years. Add in NS for males, and they will be in their mid to late 30s before they become free themselves from LKY's clutches. The skills that these scholar develop from serving their master are of little use elsewhere - so, these scholars will live out their rest of their dull lives in LKY's fiefdom. <br /><br />Taking a scholarship from LKY is akin to drinking from a poisoned chalice.<br /><br />Beyond the scholars, the remaining citizens comprise of people LKY calls his digits.
