We truly enjoy reading your blog and agree with most of your views. As the issue of National Service is close to our heart, we would like to clarify as to what you stated in your blog, “But if they did, their parents face arrest and prosecution for their sons failure to do national service”, we understand that should the son decides to abscond from doing NS, he would be a fugitive from the country and he is deemed to have committed a crime under the state laws. However, the state cannot prosecute the parents for the son’s mistake. If they posted a bond of $79,000, this would be forfeited. End of story. Please correct us if we are wrong. We look forward to hearing from you and to your articles on your blog.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8081742307252789733.post-40182589053632707722007-06-24T03:50:00.000-07:002007-06-24T03:50:00.000-07:00If a Singaporean emigrates without doing national ...If a Singaporean emigrates without doing national service, his parents get arrested?

You're not serious, are you?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
