Was Singapore's 70% victory in 2015 elections a victory for Lee's PAP or the biggest blunder

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am not sure whether Lee Kuan Yew's son, today's Singaporean dictator should be pleased or in fact worried by his recent overwhelming victory of 70% vote at the island's 2015 elections.

I think the answer can be found by looking at the Singaporean society today after 50 years of successful brainwashing by his father Lee Kuan Yew to turn them into no better than a "digit" as he has referred to them in the past.

The island has no freedoms at all. No freedom of speech, expression or assembly. All this is banned. The police can do whatever they want. The courts have become an instrument of state power, to punish anyone who criticizes the regime. The island has no free press. The entire media is state controlled.

Yet no Singaporean has any complaints living such a life. There are no protests demanding freedom or democracy. The people remaining in the island, a mere 2 million or so of native Singaporeans, the rest being foreigners who have recently been granted citizenship, have not had a single complaint.

Can you imagine what sort of a person would willingly live in such a political system without complaint? He has either to be an ignorant dummy or he has to be an opportunist or someone who is helpless. And that is exactly what the Singaporean society of today has become.

The tiny minority who are aware of their rights and who refuse to live in such a dictatorship have all left the island for settlement in the West. There is a huge population of Singaporeans in Australia Canada New Zealand and the USA who have left because they find living under a dictatorship unacceptable. Given the already miniscule size the of the island and the population, this has to be worrying.

So it is not these men and women who are capable of thinking independently who have voted overwhelmingly for Lee Kuan Yew's son's dictatorship, for the obvious reason that they have already left the island. It is these men who are either ignorant or those who are incapable of leaving who have voted for this government.

A compliant society such as this is only capable of obeying orders, not independent intelligent thought. A vote from these types does not mean anything at all. Even if their rulers told them that they should crawl on all fours, they would do it without complaint. It is a society without courage, without independent ideas, leadership or spontaneity. It is a society without thinking heads.

In fact the prognosis is even worse than this. As the educated and independent minded thinkers continue to leave the island, Singapore's population of the obedient, submissive and dumb would continue to increase in proportion. I won't be surprised that at the next election in 2020, five years from now, Singaporeans would vote even 90% for Lee dictatorship and became countries such as Syria or Iraq  where the ruling government consistently obtain 99% of the votes. What that means of course is that the entire population have been so overcome with fear and helplessness that the only safe thing to do is to vote for whoever happens to be in power!

Lee Kuan Yew's son does not appear to be very wise in his determination to silence his critics. There is no doubt that he has been roundly successful in subjugating his tiny population.  By doing so, he is by his actions simply driving away anyone with any ability to think or reason.

In a way I must say that I am glad Lee's son continues on single minded campaign to silence dissent. If he continues doing this, he is literally digging his own grave, because his people would be so dumb and so helpless that the rest of the world peopled by normal human beings with thinking heads would just blow the island away.
