On second thoughts. Singapore Dissident rides again.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Since my last farewell goodbye blog post, I have had a re-think. I had initially thought some derogatory articles in the Internet directed at me, no doubt the work of the Singapore Government 5th column was hurting my reputation. Contrary to my earlier belief, I have now discovered this is not so. The attacks, it appears, instead of hurting me is actually promoting my image. The publicity generated attracts attention and that attention nurtures a curiosity that leads to the realization, upon further scrutiny, that the Singapore administration is really not what it claims it is. It also increases my importance as someone worthy of the negativity, has perhaps a point to make after all. If I was someone of no consequence, they wouldn't have taken the trouble.

Therefore the Singapore Dissident will continue posting. What I had said of Lee Kuan Yew and his son who run the administration stands. It is not my intention to mount personal attacks against either one of them. Instead my writings are intended to attack their actions and governance as detrimental to the interests of Singapore, and not against them personally.

I am sure you can see the distinction I am making.

I wish to thank all those who have encouraged me to continue writing and I don't intend to let them down. Except for a few commenters who have made it their purpose to deliberately damage this blog, I have put up nearly all comments that I have received for the last post.

Singapore Dissident rides again.

Hi Gopalan,

I started reading your blog few months ago and have been visiting regularly. Since you decided to stop writing 10 days ago I was feeling very depressed. The thought of not reading your fantastic articles one thing, but it was more frightening to think that the government of Singapore could extend their influence to make you stop writing. It is great that you have decided to come back and continue writing. Keep up the good work.
