Singaporeans should publicy protest now. Lee and Son are very weak now, they will be brought to their knees

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The brave Singaporean young man Roy Ngerng is being sued by Lee Kuan Yew's son for criticism on how the state retirement fund was being managed.

The latest development in this shameful abuse of power is Lee's son demanding $50,000.00 from Ngerng in lawyers costs alone before his Kangaroo Courts. Please see Please see Ngerng's latest article here.  http://www.tremeritus.com/2015/01/12/roy-pm-takes-issue-with-9-more-of-my-articles/

Although there is an outpouring of support for Roy Ngerng as can be seen in the numerous comments of support for him in the article, I must also say that Singaporeans as a whole are a bunch of cowards who are unable to state their anger openly except for writing anonymously and hiding their identity behind a mask of fear.

Yes we all know that there are risks in openly protesting the dictatorship and the abuse of the rule of law but in life there are times when a man has to stand up and be counted, and now is no better a time than any other in the Singapore island run by Lee Kuan Yew and his son.

I want to remind Singaporeans one more time that you are living no better than slaves. Have you no pride at all, disgracefully living this way? And why do you do it? Is it because you have a job and you might lose it? Is it because they might charge you with criminal offenses and throw you in jail? Surely this is a price well worth paying for your freedom and self respect.

There is a litany of reasons why you shouldn't take this lying down any more. The Constitution is violated and every single right that you have under it is denied by this father and son government. No freedom of speech, expression, assembly, no freedom of the press, no rule of law with a bunch of Kangaroos as judges.

And now you have Roy Ngerng, being hounded by these dictators just because he had asked some pertinent questions, not only for himself as a citizen and tax payer but questions for an on behalf of  all of you. For Heaves sakes, what he did was for you, not for himself. Yet all you shameless cowards calling yourself Singaporeans can do is merely to write comments in his support while you hide behind the mask of anonymity, because you are afraid. If there is one Singaporean with any balls, it is Roy Ngerng, who lives among people like you, a society of cowards.

I am a Singapore citizen by birth, spent my childhood there and practiced law there for 10 years from 1979 to 1990. I realized then that Singapore was a dictatorship and I had to do something about it. I did. I joined the Workers party openly under JB Jeyaretnam. I did not hide behind anonymity like you miserable souls do. I came out in the open, proclaimed myself to be opposition and contested 2 elections. It wasn't that I was not aware that I may get into trouble, of course I did. But I did it anyway, because there are times in one's life to stand up and be counted.

For my troubles I was repeatedly harassed with attorney discipline charges, fined for contempt of court and suspended from practice for 2 years. But at least I could look myself in the mirror and be proud of my image. I was a man, not sheep and mice like you are, willingly living under a dictatorship because you are afraid.

Not wanting to be victimized anymore, and for myself and my children, I moved to the United States in 1991. I could have kept quiet after I came here but I refused. I wanted to let Lee Kuan Yew and his son know that I am not afraid of them and I will continue to attack their one party one man dictatorship through this blog. My name and identity appears prominently in each blog post. Come and get me if you want I tell them but they are nowhere to be seen.

In 2008 I flew to Singapore and while there I wrote a blog criticizing their Kangaroo Judge Belinda Ang Saw Ean for prostituting herself in her position as a judge in punishing Chee Soon Juan. It is not that I was unaware of the dangers in doing it, I was fully aware. But I did it anyway because it was the right thing to do. For my troubles I was sent to jail for 3 months and deliberately held back in Singapore for a total of 6 months during which time my US law practice almost collapsed. But at the end of it, I came out the winner and the father and son dictatorship lost all credibility throughout the world.

I may have insulted the average Singaporean now but I intend to do just that, because your silence in allowing this repression to continue is simply disgraceful. It is cowardice. You are not men, you are chicken, who will allow any tin pot dictator to willingly take advantage of you.

Remember the government is so weak now, they are more afraid of you than you are of them. They are at this point literally bankrupt in ever way possible. Their population is diminishing into extinction. No babies are born and the emigration rate is the highest in the world. To make do, they bring in hoards of Chinese nationals, Indians and others and give them instant citizenship in the hope that at least they will stay, but at the slightest instability they too will leave. And then you have a total collapse which the Lees are fully ware of. They are merely putting on a poker face and calling the bluff but in reality they know they are finished.

So now is the time to bring them down. Print T shirts with slogans such as Je Suis Roy Ngerng, hold up posters and placards at Raffles Place with the words "Down with the dictatorship", hold public protests in numbers and chant slogans against the government. Distribute anti government flyers in public places. Of course the government will go around arresting all of you, but in the process of doing it, it is they who will lose and you will win. They simply cannot afford the island wide publicity that it will generate. Remember you have the moral high ground. Under natural justice and international law, these laws that criminalize these just acts are illegal and not binding. These actions are the right of any citizen who is yearning to be free.

And finally remember, any such judicial action to imprison you will also give you a guarantee of asylum in any free democratic country in the world because punishing you for exercising your just rights as a human being is illegal under the law anywhere in the world. You have a safety valve.

Don't be cowards merely writing words of appreciation for Roy Ngerng hiding behind anonymity. You are a bunch of cowards. Stand up for once and be a man.

I can assure you that it will give you great happiness and reward you handsomely when you stand up on principle. It may not enrich you financially under the Lee Kuan Yew and Son regime but I can assure you it is rewarding for your soul, for your spirit. And when you bring down this dictatorship finally, you can look back with great satisfaction. And even if you fail, you can at least say, it was a fight well worth fighting.

I now live in California, USA. Previously I lived in Singapore, the land of my birth, and opposition politics. But when I see my face in the mirror now I have great satisfaction. I see the face of a man who dared to stand on principle. And I can see the faces of Lee Kuan Yew and Son, boiling with rage that Gopalan Nair continues to attack them openly, not under a mask like you cowards do, and simply refuses to let up. I can assure you it is a great feeling to have.

I have lived the life of a free man. No one in the world could take that away form me. Whereas you live like cowards under a tin pot tyrant, writing anonymous letters because you are afraid to be found out.

Great shot Mr Gopalan Nair.

Gopalan, I've sent an email to you on a personal issue in lieu of National Service, I really need your help. I implore you to write me back.

Too Anonymous,

I suppose we will have a great number of appreciative comments all written anonymously like you out of fear of Lee Kuan Yew and Son. What a bunch of cowards.

A man would not only identify himself, he would also put down his IC number, address and tell these tyrants, come get me if you can.

It is precisely because of sheep like you that enables dictators like these stay in power.

In the past, did you ever consider joining the PAP and trying to change things from within the Party?

This wins the dumbest post of the year award.

Do you think LKY will just roll over and let some tell him that he is wrong? You can't be writing this if you have been living in Singapore. Or you have been well trained by LKY to remain stupid.

Singaporeans are indeed coward, selfish and timid because of Lee Kuan Yew's years of brainwashing and that includes me. What is needed is something more sensitive that can really hurt the raw nerve of Singaporeans than CPF. If that something is revealed to the public, even Singapore army and police would join its oridinary citizens to rebel against PAP. For now, most of us cowards can wait till the coming GE and kick out the PAP and dig out their dirty secrets accumulated all these years.

I totally agree with you. Wait For the right moment to strike. Not by walking with a protest banner, won't do any good.

Ok first of all, "TL;DR" -Look it up.

Secondly, "The brave Singaporean young man Roy Ngerng is being sued by Lee Kuan Yew's son for criticism on how the state retirement fund was being managed." Nono, last I checked, PM sued him cus he claims the former is guilty of criminal misappropriation of monies paid by sporeans yadda yadda yadda"

Next, I probably wouldn't give credit to an article citing tremeritus/TOC/TRS, much less respect for its writer.

Last but not least, you claim to be free, a brave man, insulting Singaporeans, calling us cowards/brainwashed/chicken etc etc... but gives a US address. I applaud your.. bravery.

Word of the wise, when you look into the mirror the next time, stop looking back with "great satisfaction", and think about how maybe, just maybe, what if you're the one who messed up. Maybe then, you'll be a better person and look back with REAL great satisfaction.

P.s: I wasn't joking when I said "TL; DR", I merely skimmed through the article and caught a few things (probably out of the many) that needs to be said. I may be wrong but I will not call my fellow singaporeans a chicken or a coward, you however, are a special case.

Disclaimer (should have done this in the first place but phuck it): Im not a PAP supporter, but neither am I on the opposition side (Apolitical I believe is the word?), but I've seen enough news headlines that goes along the line of "Foreign women cheats elderly of their hard-earned money", my question is, Mr Nair and Roy, when that happens - and im not talking about the one-or-two-cases-a-month scenario, but more rather when it becomes a social issue (admit it, money attract attention), will you or Roy be the one to support the elderly who got conned out of your own pocket, or will you be in US writing about how the people in Singapore are, not only cowardly but stupid to get their money conned?

-from a brainwashed coward who's not a PAP supporter

>"Foreign women cheats elderly of their hard-earned money"

Who let the foreign women in?
And what did you do?

>Im not a PAP supporter, but neither am I on the opposition sid

Yes. Just like all of the other Confucian cowards. You do say you are a coward. I know you are COnfucian through your English and writing style.

Like all angry anti-pap/pro-opposition, you are angry about the number of foreign talent there are in sg, I get it. But how about we chase all of them out, and you will clean the roads in the morning, construct buildings in the afternoon and maybe wash toilets at night? Sounds desireable, doesn't it (yummy).

Answering your question "who let the women in, and what did I do?" Abso-fugging-lutely nothing. I mean it but hey run for an election sometimes soon and block the influx of all foreign talents (and women), cus Singaporeans would absolutely love to do manual labour themselves at low wages. Lets see you try that, future MP. You have my vote... NOT.

3rd bullet point: not sure if its a rebuttal or you're telling me. Not much of a case if it the former.

Last para: makes absolutely no sense to me at all (again), its almost like you've just written a really bad essay and trying to end it with a bang in the "conclusion" portion, thowing out words like "confucian coward" What does that even mean? (Google doesnt have anything on it but only a phrase on cowards by confucius, sooooo either you made that up completely or you're smarter than google. Must be the latter eh future MP?)

I'm not sure about you guys who bother to read this but I sure as hell am not gonna be led by the nose by someone who says that "Singaporeans are living like slaves", someone who calls himself a man, unlike - I quote - "sheeps and mice like you".

Some times, the empty vessel makes the most noise, even if they come from a legal background.

-Coward here again, or should I say "sheep and/or mouse"

P.s: im not living like a slave, I have a roof over my head, I have 3 proper meals a day and most importantly, I know whats it means to be contented. Having said that, I understand that there are people who are not as fortunate and writing an article with a headline like this (note: Publicly, not Publicy) is not going to help anyone achieve anything.

Which is why Singaporeans will never vote out the PAP.

Too many Confucian Cowards.

BTW, just because you could not Google this term, it does not mean it doesn't exist. Maybe it is an original idea.

Sounds like original thinking might be be beyond well-trained Confucian Cowards. Hint: (1)Google Confucian and then (2) Google Coward. Put (1) and (2) together to see what you come up with. ???

To above. Since you live happily in Singapore, you probably lack initiative per the other writer's comments on Confucian Coward. Let me do the leg work and spoon feed you.

Confucian
of or relating to Confucius or Confucianism.

Coward
a person who lacks the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things.

LKY and his son are Confucian Cowards.

ROY NGERNG is a brave man.

By seeing people who raise voice like Roy annihilated, it is becoming even more difficult to raise voice. Now, how is it possible to protest is a manner that you suggest i.e. hold placards in Raffles Place, wear "Je suis Roy Ngerng" T-shirts etc. Anyone who does that will be put behind bars efficiently & then what's next ?
