Singapore. My letter to Robert V Chandran, the Indian millionaire with American citizenship who is reported to have taken Singapore citizenship?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The following is my letter to Robert V Chandran the millionaire who has taken Singapore citizenship. He is said to have also US Citizenship. Question here is, is he still an American Citizen. I thought Singapore does not allow dual nationality. Is the law of nationality in Singapore being bent for millionaires? Or has he really handed in his US Passport to the US Embassy Singapore? Questions you may wish to ask him.

In this letter to Mr. Chandran, I have made references to the Philippines. This is because he spent 2 years or so, in the Phillipines at a university there. You can check his background on his company's website. Mr. Chandran understands the Philippines very well.

And so do I, having been to Philippines on multiple occasions on legal work for my clients here in the US, who are Philippines nationals.

Dear Mr. Robert V Chandran
President
Chemoil Corporation

I have read your deciding to take Singapore citizenship and to live in Singapore. Perhaps you do not know what Singapore really is. It is not a democracy like the Philippines. I left Singapore to avoid the persecution and repression against me just because I was an active member of the opposition party there. Just like me, thousands of others who cherish freedom have left it’s shores made bankrupt like Mr. JB Jeyaretnam, whom I am sure by now you know. In an nutshell, Singapore’s judiciary is corrupt, it is a fascist state with Lee Kuan Yew the sole dictator, the unions are powerless, education is warped so as not to allow students to know their rights, no freedom of speech or expression or freedom of the press unlike the Philippines.

Singapore is not a major trading nation. 70% of the trading is done by the government or government linked companies. The average man there is devoid of any entrepreneur spirit.

The only way to succeed in Singapore is to obey Lee. Many find that unacceptable and leave it’s shores.

I have read a little of your biography. I think you have made a bad choice in selecting Singapore. By doing so you are giving legitimacy to a fascist intolerant dictatorship.

And by the way, Singapore does not permit dual citizenship. If you have adopted Singapore citizenship, under Singapore law you have to relinquish US Citizenship. Have you done that? Or has the Singapore government again corruptly broken the laws for their convenience. If so is Singapore a banana republic? If not what is it?

Thanks.
