Singapore. Unless some drastic steps are taken, Lee Kuan Yew will make Singapore another mini China, with no rights at all.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

If no immediate steps are taken Singapore is going to become, if it has not already, another mini Chinese city, with no guaranteed rights and no freedoms whatsoever. And when I say steps, I do not mean merely writing blogs and letters. It has to be civil peaceful unrest. Nothing else will stop the inevitable doom.

Look for yourself. Today the judges are totally under the control of the Lee family. So is the entire press in the island. So is the police force, totally obedient to Lee Kuan Yew. So is the civil service which discriminates against those who do not submit. So is the education department which indoctrinates children with government propaganda. The island is slowly losing it's multi racial mix being predominantly mainland Chinese population. The Malays are losing their identity and becoming part Chinese with Chinese customs and manners. So are the Indians. In government departments and offices, Chinese is publicly spoken even when Indians or Malays are present. Daily you are subjected to government propaganda on how to live, how to talk, how to tolerate others, how to be polite, how to respect others, how to tolerate other religions, which goes on daily. There is no information except what the government tells you.

If this sliding slope goes on unchecked, not only Indian and Malays but even the native born Chinese would find Singapore totally alien to what they expected. It will not be an island that respects individual opinions. It will instead be another Shanghai where government tells you how to behave and what rights you have. Otherwise you have none.

Dr. Chee and other opposition leaders have done much. But all the writing and the information on contrary views will not stop Lee Kuan Yew from turning it into another Beijing, which he appears determined to do. As each day passes, we see the destruction of civil society unabated. Increasing numbers of mainland Chinese who know no English are flooded into Singapore, overcoming those who speak English and totally unacceptable to the Malays and the Indians. This was not meant to be.

Ongoing civil unrest must be the only way this onslaught against civil society is stemmed. It has to be done now.

'Dr. Chee and other opposition leaders have done much.'
Wow, i can't believe you to be so blinkered as to acknowledge that Chee Soon Juan has done much. He has done nothing but tarnish the good name of Singapore on his trips overseas. With his frankly feeble attempts at disrupting the peace through his protests, very few Singaporeans award him credibility, if any now.

Normally I would not posted this comment. It is not only ignorant, it comes from someone who prefers tyranny to freedom, which has no place here. However, this time I have let it stand for the readers to repond to it.

Mr Gopalan just ignore my previous comment as they are the same. I provide better link in this one which is not linked to a playlist.

Dear Gopalan,

You cannot blame Anon, Aug 17, 621.

This writer is completed brainwashed by the PAP. Unfortunately, a lot of Singaporeans are feeling the same, I was once a young naive LKY worshipper too.

Just check out how many friends Lee Kuan Yew has on his Facebook.

The only way to bring down the PAP regime is a circuit breaker event. A big mistake by PAP that wakes the people up

Dear Gopalan,

It's too late. PAP's power is entrenched. You're living in the US out of the reach of the ISD. We are living in a police state. A very efficient one at that. Please don't ask the naive Singaporeans to commit suicide. They will pay a high price if they follow your advice. My advice is try to leave the country if possible. That's what Mr Gopalan has done. It's the better option in the long run.

No one suggested it was easy to challenge the dictatorship. There is always a price to pay, always. But for freedom, it is necessary. As for your view that PAP is entrenched, hardly. They are weak as water now. Now is the time. thanks

"A big mistake by PAP that wakes the people up"

Seriously if the loss of more than half of state reserve ad asset is not enough to consider a Big Mistake, I do not know what consider a big mistake. But whatever honest mistakes they make, they will always find a way to wiggle out and move on. No mistake is too big for PAP to handle as they control all the instruments that will bring them down including the police, the legal, the Judiciary, the army, the social-engineered society etc. You know what I mean ? Tell me which country in the world other than dictorial state like Burma and North Korea ever get overthrown ?
